Frequently Asked Questions

No marketing fluff. No dodging. Just answers.

Does Dazr collect any data or telemetry?
No. Zero. Nothing. Dazr has a zero telemetry architecture. No analytics, no crash reports, no usage data, no pings home. We literally don't know how many users we have, and that's by design. Your browsing data stays on your device, period.
How is Dazr different from Brave or Firefox?
Brave makes money from ads and has a built-in cryptocurrency wallet. Firefox takes hundreds of millions from Google for default search placement. Dazr has no advertising system, no crypto wallet, no search revenue deals, and no investors. Every service runs on European infrastructure under EU law. We don't have conflicting incentives because we don't have incentives. We just built a browser that doesn't spy on you.
What fingerprint protections does Dazr have?
Dazr blocks 20+ fingerprinting vectors including canvas, WebGL, AudioContext, font enumeration, screen resolution, battery API, keyboard layout, WebGPU, speech synthesis, network info, storage estimation, and more. All fingerprint values rotate per-session and are isolated per-domain using HMAC-seeded randomization, so every site sees a completely different browser fingerprint.
Is Dazr free?
Yes. Completely free. No premium tier, no paid features, no subscription. There's no catch. We don't monetize you because we don't collect anything to monetize.
Where is Dazr based and who runs it?
Dazr is an independent project based in Europe. No company, no board, no investors, no venture capital. All infrastructure runs on European servers under EU data protection law. You can read more about the story behind Dazr on the Made in Europe page.
Does Dazr block ads?
Yes. Dazr has a built-in ad and tracker blocker powered by the Ghostery engine with EasyList, EasyPrivacy, and uBlock filter lists. It blocks ads, trackers, bounce trackers, AMP redirects, and automatically strips tracking parameters like fbclid, gclid, and utm_* from URLs. No extensions needed. All built in from day one.
What operating systems does Dazr support?
Dazr is available for Windows 10+, macOS, and Linux. All platforms, same privacy.
Does Dazr use Google services?
No. Dazr deliberately avoids all Google services. DNS goes through dns0.eu and Quad9 (both European non-profits), geolocation uses Beacondb (European open-source), and search is our own service hosted on European servers. We don't receive search revenue from Google and have zero dependency on their infrastructure.
