Why Your Browser Matters
Beyond feature checklists, these are the design decisions that shape how Dazr handles your data at every level.
- Local-first phishing protection Blocklists from OpenPhish, PhishTank, and URLhaus are downloaded and checked locally. Your browsing history is never sent to a remote API for URL checking.
- Per-domain fingerprint isolation Fingerprint values are seeded per-domain using HMAC randomization. Each site sees a unique, consistent fingerprint that can't be correlated across domains.
- Notification blocking by default Notification permission requests are auto-denied. You can enable them per-site, but no site can interrupt you by default.
- Tracking parameter stripping Parameters like fbclid, gclid, and utm_* are automatically removed from URLs before they reach your history or bookmarks.
- Bounce tracker protection Detects and blocks redirect-based tracking where sites route you through intermediary domains to set tracking cookies.
- Global Privacy Control GPC is enabled by default, sending a legally recognized signal to websites requesting they don't sell or share your data.
- No background connections The browser makes zero unsolicited network requests. No analytics, no crash reporting, no update pings with identifying information.
Every feature listed above can be verified. The comparison table shows concrete engineering decisions, not marketing claims. If something says it's blocked, it's blocked.
