European all the way down.
Every service Dazr connects to runs on European infrastructure, operated by European teams, under European law. Here is where your data actually goes.
Dazr uses dns0.eu, a non-profit European DNS service, instead of Google or Cloudflare. Every "what is the IP for this site?" question is answered by European servers.
dns0.eu · France & GermanyWhen a website asks where you are (for weather, maps, local results), Dazr asks Beacondb, a community-run European location service. Never Google.
Beacondb · EuropePowered by Ghostery's open blocking engine, made in Germany. Filter lists are bundled into the browser, so blocking happens on your device, not in some cloud.
Ghostery · MunichThe default search runs on our own European servers. Your queries never leave EU jurisdiction and are never tied to your identity.
Self-hosted · EuropeBrowser builds and update checks are served from European servers. The update probe carries no identifying information about you or your install.
EU CDNThe "which site are you connecting to?" handshake is encrypted (ECH) so your provider can't see it. The setup uses European DNS, not US-based services.
dns0.eu · France & GermanyNo strings attached.
Most browsers carry invisible commitments. They take search-deal money from Google, host on Amazon, take venture-capital investment, ship analytics to a parent company. Dazr does none of these.
- No Google revenue We do not take search-deal money from Google. There is no financial reason for us to soften ad-blocking, default to their services, or steer you toward them.
- No US cloud underneath No AWS, no Google Cloud, no Azure. Our servers run on European hosts, governed by GDPR, not the US CLOUD Act.
- No investors Zero venture capital, zero shareholders, zero board members pushing growth metrics. Nobody can pressure us to monetise users.
- No phoning home The browser sends nothing back to us. No analytics, no usage stats, no automatic crash reports. We genuinely do not know how many people are using Dazr.
- No affiliate-link injection When you click a shopping link, the URL is exactly what you saw. We never inject our own affiliate codes for revenue, unlike some "privacy" browsers.
- No crypto, no rewards programs No built-in wallet, no token system, no "earn while you browse" scheme. These add attack surface and pull incentives in the wrong direction.
Why this matters.
Your browser sees every site you visit, every search you make, every form you fill. The company behind it has more reach into your life than almost any other piece of software you own.
When that company is funded by an ad network, privacy features have a ceiling. When it is funded by venture capital, there is an exit strategy that may not match yours. When it falls under US jurisdiction, your data can be ordered handed over by US courts no matter where you live.
Dazr exists outside all of that. Built in Europe, funded by no one, accountable only to the people who use it.
